Bradley Lightbourne. 6-3, 2G-PG. Gateway Christian, Bimini Bahamas.
Bahamas National High School 2x Champion and MVP, 8x All tournament Team, 2x Eagles Classic Bimini Champion, 3 Years Team Captain, Father Marcian MVP.
A versatile and talented performer. He’s an all-rounder for the crew from Bimini. He literally plays everywhere and his success usually translates into their success. You could generalize and just call him a slasher, which is an extremely popular style of play in the Bahamas. But, he’s more than that. He is best a scoring on the move. Putting the ball on the floor, getting into the paint, pulling up with the short jumper is his trademark. He can score outside the 3, but earns most of his money in the mid-range game. Great effort guy. Works hard on the boards every possession. He blocks shots and uses his length, quickness and anticipation to generate steals.
Coaches comments: “Relentless Combo Guard that plays 2 ways (Offence and Defence). Great ball skills with exceptional vision and scoring ability”.

Shavual Butters. 6-8, PF-C. 17. 10th grade. St. George’s, Freeport Bahamas.
2018-19 - Most blocks in a season GBSSAA. 2018-19 - 1st Team All Bahamian squad.
Long, thin and not finished growing. He can score in the paint. Wasn’t allowed to think much about offense elsewhere, but does have some range at the 3. Excellent timing and length makes him an effective shot blocker. Very quick getting to the ball and rebounds anything on his side of the rim. Dunks put-backs with ease when there’s space. Has a surprisingly soft touch inside when he’s not dunking put-backs. Runs the floor like a SF. Seems to be a smart player, always finishing under control.
Coaches comments: “Very athletic around the rim. Can shoot the ball mid to deep, block’s shots”.

Samuel Pinder. 6-4, 165. 16. 10th grade. St. George’s, Freeport Bahamas.
2018-19 - Most 3’s in the league GBSSAA. 2018-19 1st Team All Bahamian squad.
My first thought when I saw Sam was “Wow - never thought I’d see a guy who made Reggie Miller look buff…”. Getting past that initial impression, Sam has got some solid basketball skills. He’s a shooter, first and foremost. Everything about him says “Get him the ball”. He would be a 3 point shooter if he played on a Croatian team. It’s that pure. In addition, he works hard on the floor to help his team. He has decent ball handling skills. Has good court vision and passing skills. Surprisingly active on the boards. He can put the ball on the floor and score on the move.
Coaches comments: “Can score the ball in multiple ways. Scores off the dribble, can shoot off screens, mid-range and 3 ball. Good defender”.

Paul Greene. 6-5 ½. 170. SF-PF. 16. 6/19/2002. 10th grade. St. George’s, Freeport Bahamas.
2018-19 GBSSAA MVP. 2018-19 GBSSAA tournament championship MVP. 2018-19 - 1st Team All Bahamian squad. 2018-19 - Most Improved Player..
Hard-driving rebounder for the Jaguars. Effective offensively in the mid-range and in the paint. Uses a quick first step to penetrate from mid-range with SF / PF / C’s trying to defend. Paul sees the floor well and does a nice job of getting the ball to open teammates. Loves to go to the left. Contributes defensively by being an additional shot blocker.
Coaches comments: “a versatile rebounding 3 with good ball handling, and a feel for scoring around the rim, need to be more consistent shooting.”

Jaythan Belle. 6-2, 159. PG-2G-SF. 17. 10/4/2001. Doris Johnson HS, Nassau Bahamas.
2018 GSSSA Championship. 2019 Hugh Campbell Championship.
Jaythan has very quick hands and very quick feet. A “disrupter” on the defensive end with hands constantly in somebody’s passing lane. Very active on the boards for a player his size. Scores most of his points in transition off steals and coast-to-coast play. Effective in the ½ court putting the ball on the floor and penetrating to the rim.
Coaches comments: Strong attacker, good around the rim, great handles, good shooter around the three point line, excellent defense”.

2019 Hugh Campbell Championship. 2018 GSSSA Championship.
A rebounding, dunking & scoring machine. Absolutely dominated the glass at both ends of the floor. Long, lean and athletic build. Really has some serious bounce when scoring off put backs. Plays well above the rim. Richard has good hands a nice touch in the passing game. He is thin, but plays without fear. Willing to stand his ground and take the charge when needed. He showed some real smarts in the paint and has been trained in some of the finer points of offensive post work.

Reyne Smith. 6-2, 165. 2G-PG. 16. 10/2/2002. Currently in grade 11. Tasmania, Australia.
4x Tasmania State Representative, 2x Australian Development Camp, Basketball Tasmania High Performance Scholarship winner, NBA Global Academy call up at Under 20 Nationals. 2nd in overall scoring at the 2019 Australian U18’s. Averaged 26.38 ppg while shooting 32% from outside the FIBA arc, which you will remember is painted at 22.15’ from the rim.
Reyne is a scorer and he’s quite good at it. He’s not big, or mean, or scary… He just scores buckets, lots of ‘em. There’s some other guy that reminds me of… smallish guard, slightly built, scores tons of points, plays for somebody out on the West Coast… The name evades me right now...

Valentino Simon. 6-5, 185. Government HS, Nassau Bahamas.
Bahamian HS Volleyball Champion. Bahamian HS Soccer Champion. Bahamian HS Basketball Champion.
Valentino is truly a versatile athlete. He goes hard all the time. Rebounds, put-backs, and dunks are what he does best. Scoring in the paint is his forte. He also has good touch on the mid-range jumper and range at international 3. Using timing and athleticism to be a factor with shot blocking.
